And the winner is…. Local Heroes!

Yesterday, Zoomin’s original long-form production ‘Local Heroes’ won the award for Best Series in the documentary category at the 2019 Rio WebFest in Rio de Janeiro.

‘Local Heroes’ went head-to-head against other documentary series from around the world, coming out on top because of its original subject choice, storytelling, and the quality of its production, cinematography, and editing.

Erika Hoffgen accepted the award on Zoomin’s behalf. In her acceptance speech, she emphasized that ‘Local Heroes’ couldn’t have been possible without all the incredible people who shared their story with us and who are fighting for a better, fairer and safer world.

We would like to extend a big congrats to our team behind this inspiring series:

Series Producer: Alessia Barbiero
Senior Producer: Gaia Picciolini
Lead Editor: Daniel Correa
Editors: Alexander Ludwick, Claudio Gusmini, Dion Visser, Gary Leuci
Production Team: Adel Shochat, Estella Fang, Israel Méndez, João Veloso, Letizia Giannelli, Renata Bagirova, Sergio Boldu, Taylor Blades

And a special thanks to Eliza Menzel, executive producer, for always believing in the project and the team.
