Zoomin.TV and FormulaFPV join forces to lift-off Drone Racing on a global scale

Zoomin.TV presents the new global sports experience from Amsterdam.

Zoomin.TV, part of the leading international digital entertainment group MTG, and FormulaFPV signed an Agreement to merge operations. The collaboration will lead to a global lift-off of Drone Racing in a new competition, The Drone Racing World Series. Zoomin.TV sees enormous potential in the new sport experience and will bring in its global sales and marketing operations to propel Drone Racing into pole position as a media and sport experience platform for pilots, stadiums, sponsors and global partners.

FormulaFPV has a proven track record in organizing drone race shows, drone race competitions and stunt videos. The knowledge and expertise is now embedded in the organization of media giant Zoomin.TV. The operations will move from Hoofddorp to the studios of Zoomin.TV’s headquarters in the center of Amsterdam. “The collaboration with Zoomin.TV gives drone racing the credibility, financial and creative resources and global scale that is necessary to place Drone World Series Racing in the spotlights. Now we can create a media and sports platform for our audience, community, sponsors and pilots,” explains Lars Sang Mo Boom, Co-Founder of FormulaFPV.

Jan Riemens, CEO of Zoomin.TV, elaborates, “The global audience of and participants in Drone Races perfectly match our audience of young GenZ inspired people. They are technology savvy, dare to take a challenge and care for the close community of pilots, technicians and racing athletes. And they share a passion that brings them all over the world. We are enabling organizations and brands to participate and engage in this global and spectacular sports experience.”

On May 16th and 17th Zoomin.TV and FormulaFPV will organize a pre-launch of the Drone Racing World Series for global C-Level representatives of sponsors, media companies and brands. Some of the best drone pilots in the world will show their skills. The event will be held in the Amsterdam ArenA, home of AFC Ajax.

About Formula FPV
The organization of drone races started 2 years ago as the passion of Lars Sang Mo Boom and Gerard de Vries. They organized the first drone race for friends and family. Because of the enormous success of the first race and the good reception of the concept behind the race, Lars and Gerard decided to professionalize the operations. In summer 2015 Dronetech BV was established as the first professional Drone Racing company, with FormulaFPV as brand name for Drone Race shows and competitions. The growth of the company was as spectacular as the shows and races of FormulaFPV. So the team grew accordingly. FormulaFPV has three basic products, drone race shows, drone race competitions and stunt videos. The shows are tailored for clients. In a spectacular and mind blowing show FormulaFVP will activate the brand experience and brand loyalty of the client. FormulaFPV is the exclusive owner of the Drone Racing World Series that will be held in 6 different venues across the world, including Amsterdam, Madrid, Seoul and Sao Paulo. The stunt videos will cover the activities of pilots and have a global coverage. The stunt videos will be published in the massive media platform of Zoomin.TV.
